The firm of Sramek Hightower hosted the meeting, with partner Karola Moore as the point person. A productive meeting was held, as member firms from across America sent representatives. The group welcomed Jack Curnow from Curnow & Co., Bellingham, Washington, its newest member firm. Also attending were Richard and Ann White from Timaru, New Zealand. Richard serves as President of the worldwide group of IAPA, and he and Ann traveled on to London for the annual IAPA Executive Committee meeting.
Among other things, the group discussed recruiting, and heard reports of results from the IAPA booth at the recent AICPA Practitioners Symposium in Las Vegas, which was manned by Minty Rosenhouse (Dallas) and Clint Bateman (Houston). Plans are already under way for next year's Americas Group meeting tentatively planned for Phoenix.
