Through these meetings, we strengthen our relationships with our partner/colleagues in the 90+ member firms of IAPA, and we learn new ways to help our clients. We also provide the means to fill our clients' needs, both throughout the U.S. and the World. Our partner/colleagues are fully qualified to serve you wherever your business, tax, or personal needs take you.
Enroute to this year's meeting, Clint and Susan spent three days in Auckland, New Zealand, where they met with Clive and Pam Quinn. Clive is Managing Partner of Quinn Green & Company, Ltd. of Auckland, which is the IAPA member there. A delightful time was had, and plans were made to meet again when the Quinns visit Houston.
In Melbourne, Clint was busy in meetings while Susan was busy with...well, you guess. Clint is currently serving as Vice President/President-Elect of the U.S. Chapter, and reported to the worldwide group on the U.S. Chapter's activities. He also serves on the Executive Committee of IAPA worldwide, and will be attending the next Executive Committee meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, in May, 2000.
The next Annual General Meeting of IAPA will be in Birmingham, England in September, 2000. Both Clint and Susan Bateman, and Kara Bateman McDuffie and her husband, Michael plan to attend.
Whilst (that's the Australian/New Zealand spelling) in Auckland, a unique opportunity availed itself. The Louis Vuitton New Zealand Cup Races were being held. This is a prelude to the America's Cup Races, which will be held in Auckland in 2000. So, we got to see the boats who are competing to challenge for the America's Cup in 2000. Here are three of them - Stars & Stripes, America True, and Young America.
