The Bogota firm's president is Dr. Rodrigo Villamizar, who formerly served as Colombia's Minister of Mines and Energy, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Colombia to Japan, as Executive Director of Campetrol (Colombian Oil Association), President of the Industrial Development Bank of Colombia, and as General Director of the IX Summit of the Non-Aligned Countries. Dr. Villamizar received a degree in engineering in Colombia, his native home, and earned the Masters and PhD degrees in economics from the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Villamizar is well known throughout Colombia, Latin America, and indeed the world.
The general manager is Luis Armando Galvis Valles, who was formerly Vice Minister of Mines and Energy in Colombia. Other officers and shareholders are Armando Suarez Triana, a Contadore Publico, Fabio Wilches Vargas, a Contadore Publico, María Cristina Camargo Pérez, secretary, and Gustavo Monroy Morris.
Bateman & Co., Inc., P.C. (Houston) has entered into a twenty year Technical Assistance Agreement with the Bogota firm, and will assist in consultation, training, strategic planning, and other similar activities. It is also contemplated that Bateman & Co. Houston - along with its colleagues in the International Association of Practising Acccountants - will assist in staffing selected engagements secured by the Bogota firm.
