The meeting was held at the historic Christopher Wren's House Hotel on the banks of the Thames River, in the very shadow of Windsor Castle.
The meeting centered on budget matters, recruitment of new members, planning for the upcoming Annual General Meeting in Birmingham, UK, and similar topics. A lively debate was held among the representatives, who were Richard Stevens of London, England (current President of IAPA), Graham Merricks of Kingston-upon-Thames, England, Treasurer, Richard White of New Zealand, Vice President, David Millard of Canada, Executive Committee member, John van Merrienboer of Holland, Executive Committee member, and David Turnbull of Aldershot, England, Managing Secretary of IAPA.
After the meeting, Mr. and Mrs. Bateman continued to London for five days, where they took in the sights and saw several musicals in the West End. Also, Mr. Bateman took the opportunity to meet with several London-based clients of Bateman & Co.
